Business Process Re-engineering
Where a BUSINESS PROCESS AUDIT has identified the need for change in the underlying processes of a business the recommendations provided will include some degree of process re-engineering. This can take several forms from the relatively minor through to extensive change. Some examples are:
- Role changes / redefinitions
- Documentation amendments
- Process flow changes
- Organisational restructuring
The role of SCS in the re-engineering process is to facilitate the smooth transition of any changes required and to assist in the design process for that change. This work is normally undertaken by a senior consultant working with the project sponsor to achieve the goals set at the commencement of the project. A standard methodology is adopted that places heavy emphasis on involvement of key personnel within the client organisation and regular progress reporting / sign-off.
This work may be carried out in conjunction with any business system changes identified during the original audit as in many cases amendments to business process are dependant on successful implementation of those changes.
Whilst each clients needs are assessed on an individual basis the RATES guide will provide an indication of likely project costs for this type of work. |
