Business Process Audit
There are a number of factors critical to the success of all enterprises in any economic climate and amongst these is efficient business process supported by effective business systems. Many organisations had started to review the fundamentals of their business operations during the latter part of the 1990’s but some of those efforts became derailed in the “e” hype of the last few years.
If one thing became clear from the e-crash it is that the basics of good business don’t change and those entrepreneurs which have clearly defined performance indicators and streamlined business process, greatly increase their chance of survival.
In a business world that has become ever more dependant on technology for day-to-day operations there is an on-going need to regularly review the fit between business processes and information systems in order to ensure that the latter fully supports the former.
SCS has developed a methodology for conducting these combined reviews in a timely manner and uses a team of experienced consultants whose backgrounds combine business and information systems knowledge. Additionally, technical resources are available when required for additional expertise in specific areas. This methodology identifies the critical path for data flow within an organisation and provides an audit of system support of that path in order to identify inefficiencies or performance / expectation gaps.
Importantly these reviews provide clients with clearly defined action paths that allow them to resolve the issues identified in a practical manner rather than providing just another “report” that is long on rhetoric but short on solutions.
